Getting between terminals
There are 3 passenger terminals at Budapest Airport: T1 the lowcost terminal, T2A for Schengen departures and T2B for nonSchengen flights.

T2A and B are connected by a covered walkway. A shuttle bus connects T1 to T2A and T2B.
Getting to the airport
By road
Budapest Ferihegy International Airport is located 16 kilometres (10 miles) southeast of central Budapest. The journey by car from Budapest to the airport takes around 20 minutes and access is from the ""Ferihegy High Speed Road"".

By train
Trains run from the Western Railway Station in Budapest to the airport station in T1. Journey time is approximately 25 minutes. Trains run 23 times an hour.

Tickets cost 300HUF and can be purchased from the ticket office or from the ticket machine at the Western Railway Station.

The airport station is connected to T1 by a footbridge and then a short 200m walk. To reach T2B take bus 200E from outside T1.

You'll find bureau de change facilities both before and after security. They open 1 hour before the first flight departs until 30 minutes after the last flight departs.

You'll also find ATM machines (cash dispensers) before security.

There are a small number of shops in T2B including the airport duty free store, a gift shop, a jewellers, and the usual newsagents / bookstore.

Leaving the airport
By bus
Bus 200E serves the KöbányaKispest metro station. Take the blue metro to the city centre (Deák Ferenc Square). Journey time 20 minutes. A single ticket costs 290HUF (400 HUF if you buy from the bus driver).

The taxi rank is located on the concourse outside arrivals.

Zóna Taxis is the only firm licensed to use the airport taxi rank. They operate under a zonal, fixed fare basis.

A typical fare to central Budapest is 4800 5400 HUF (2225 Euros).

The airport railway station is accessed via a 200m pathway and a footbridge from T1.

Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, National Alamo and Sixt all have desks located in the arrivals hall. Hertz is open round the clock. Opening times for other companies vary, but most are open at least between 0800 and 2100.
